I did a course on using all sorts of light sources for photography. You could use LED lights, glow sticks, candles, sparkles, torches and whatever else you can get your hands on.
You would use these lights at night. You can make some pretty extraordinary patterns with them.
It was all a bit technical for me so I wasn’t that keen on it, but I gave it ago anyway.
Unfortunately, it was during summer and we have daylight saving so waiting until 9pm wasn’t an option. Hence my photos are not great because there was still too much light.
I include in this category car trails, xmas lights and fireworks. Of course you must use a tripod and remote shutter release cable
Here are some examples.
For the glow lights I used a 30″ exposure. For the car trails, fireworks and xmas lights I used a 4″ exposure.
