Where to sell your photos
You can store all your photos on Flickr and Google’s Picasa and just show them to friends. It is just as well I uploaded some of my Sydney photos to Flickr because I lost them from my computer. Don’t forget to back up and back up. But companies like Getty images and National Geographic do look at them and I know of people who have sold photos to those companies
If you want to be proactive, try uploading your ten best photos to Getty’s flickr collection. They will accept or reject from there.
Pinterest is another popular place to pin your pictures. Join my board there!
Pixoto is another fun place where you are rated by your peers. You get a scorre via duel contests. You can win prizes and awards. It also has a stock section
Getty Images is the biggest site to sell photos. They source them from all over the place, but you can submit photos to see if they approve of them. It is very difficult to be accepted there.

Corbis like Getty Images, Corbis seeks out its own contributers. Much coveted
500px I submit to this site. It is for professionals which I am not but anyone can upload. You will see my photos by clicking on the link. You can just upload for friends to view but they must sign up with Facebook or Twitter, or you can enable a store.
Photos must be 3MG and are assessed before being accepted. It is a great
place to begin because even though you might have photos rejected, they
tell you why and it is a good learning tool. You need to fill out a form
providing tax details for US citizens. For non-US citizens you open the
form and provide an identity picture like a driver’s licence and just accept
the $5 tax option. Don’t forget to upload your unfinished files.
Veer is an arm of Corbis Images with a view to the affordable market The submission process is stringent. You will be asked for experience
in the industry including references, what your specialization is, where Veer can see your work and the size of your collection available
