My next lesson in the Whitsundays was how to create nice bokeh. I love nice bokeh. Basically it is the blur behind the focused image which has been taken with a wide aperture, that is about f2.8 – even f5.6. You can get some great effects.
The further away the background of the image, the more bokeh you will get. But that is really blurred. You don’t have to aim for the background to be so far away. Here is my example.
